Happy Monday! I got back from Philly this morning around 10 am since I had taken the day off from work to get a few things accomplished I’ve been meaning to do, including getting my hair done!
My roots were out of control, and I really wanted to go back to being blonde.
I actually didn’t make my appointment until this morning when I got back into town, and thankfully the salon I wanted to try had an opening. I found David’s Beautiful People Salon through a simple Google search and decided to give it a shot. And all of the sites I visited gave it great reviews!
The salon was clean, the stylists and staff were friendly, and I walked out with a style I liked…so, it was a win-win in my book.
I have had my hair done in Philly a few times, and really like the stylist that I see (who came highly recommended by Joe’s mom ;)) but I wasn’t able to make an appointment with her this past weekend when I was up there since we had a lot going on. Either way, it was fun to try out a new salon down here anyway!
One of the benefits of living at home is that I get to sample my mom’s cooking from time to time! And, she makes a mean batch of granola, so I was pumped to find out she had made some this past weekend. It’s chock-full of wholesome ingredients and tastes awesome to boot! I snacked on a bowl with almond milk this afternoon:
She created the recipe based off the granola she and my step-dad tried at the Inn at Little Washington when they celebrated an anniversary there a few years back. Once I get my hands on the recipe from her, I will share it with you all. It’s definitely a must try!
Today is also the first day of Best Body Bootcamp!
I will still be keeping up with my MCRRC training program while doing the bootcamp workouts, so I will need to modify today’s workout a bit by adding in a little extra cardio. I’m excited for it to start and after reading through all of the workouts that Tina put together for the program, I continue to be amazed by how much time she has invested in this program. That being said, I will not be able to share specifics about the workouts with you all, since the training plan designed for participants only. I’m excited to make use of my gym’s equipment since I usually play it safe on the treadmill. Today’s workout includes using the Bosu, something I’ve never tried before.
Hope you all had a great Monday!
